12 Weeks (80–100 contact hours)
Intermediate to advanced learners familiar with basic SQL and database concepts who want to become Database Administrators, Data Engineers, or Cloud Data Architects.
This course equips learners with advanced database management skills — including database design, optimization, replication, backup & recovery, performance tuning, security, and cloud database management.
Students will work with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and cloud services (AWS RDS / Azure SQL), culminating in a capstone project deploying a production-ready database infrastructure.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. Design and manage relational and non-relational databases efficiently.
2. Optimize queries, indexes, and storage engines for performance.
3. Implement user roles, privileges, and advanced security measures.
4. Automate backups, replication, and disaster recovery.
5. Monitor and tune databases for high performance.
6. Manage distributed and cloud databases (RDS, Cosmos DB, BigQuery).
7. Apply DevOps concepts in database management (CI/CD for DB).
8. Develop database documentation and maintenance scripts.
